I'm gona start doing attic restoration. I usually sub this out and seen the $$$$$ this guy is making on it. He is a friend and gona work me thru the 1st one. He has been to busy with other jobs to keep my customers on top of his list. I have a bid to put together on a bat job on thursday. Seal the house, remove any guano suck out and replace the isolation. I'm gona remove the guano and I have a sub doing the rest for $1.20 a sq ft. My friend gave me a sq ft price of $8.00. Thats a huge profit. Is this in the ball park??? I haven't seen the job yet. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I'm going into a new area and looking to expand my business. God Bless

I charge $1 per foot to remove and anywhere from $1.55 for 6"of cellulose to $2.55 for 14".
A vacuum runs $400 to rent here for the day.

Guys doing it for insurance jobs gouge the insurance companies. I went to a seminar a few years back and the guy doing it was getting over $20,000 for the same thing I would charge $5000, the difference is his was for an insurance job. Made me realize why premiums are so high.

I am the opposite. I charge more to remove than what I charge to put it back in. Taking it out is the work, putting it back is easy. But that is what works for me.

Rugged. Thank you for the kind words. I have four related podcasts about this topic and hope to do a few more this Spring (with Red Ryder, Mike Flick and others.)
