I just got a call for beaver, it's has to go before the HOA so isn't sold just yet. I was given a description of a ancillary problem in addittion to the beaver and I have my surmises but without an on scene inspection I'm never 100%.

In addition to the observed and well described beaver issue the person I spoke to has observed dead turtles, fish and ducks on shore as well. He described large turtles as in 15 inch snappers with the heaeds legs and fleshy parts eaten as well as large grass carp in the same size range almost entirely eaten. He did not describe the post mortum of the ducks though. I assume, as did he the, culprit is otter but the large size plus snappers has me wondering. I'd like to see the damage in person to confirm but I don't do that for pending jobs.

What say you?

I would take a look first, there is something else going on here. It is the unknown that can cost you money. This could turn into a bigger job than you think$$$$$$$.JMO.

That's it exactly. All that has been discussed is the beaver and that is merely to state my base rate with the caveat that could go up and can only be confirmed with a site inspection.

My mind says alligator, piranha, or mermaid turned zombie. I'm wasting my talents on ADC work; I should be in Hollywood.

For the size of the snappers and grass carp I'd be tempted to say that something "other than" a natural preditor is killing them....Hunter shoots a duck he doesn't find. Duck floates to the lake shore, now how long before a coon, mink, otter, eagle...whatever finds it and feeds on it ?

In the movie "Juan of the Dead" there are underwater zombies.

Dave, think about it! You're half fish and half zombie. A extra large bloody earthworm on a really big hook should do it.
