Does anyone offer to trim trees as an add-on sale? I was at a home today that desperately needed a maple tree about the size of my arm removed and a couple others pruned back from the house. I have a good frien that I refer major trimming jobs to, but this was so small prolly not worth his time. Got me to thinking.....

My insurance guy said I could remove trees and trim branches near the house. Trees that would allow animals access to the owners house only.

We have been trimming trees back to 5 feet from the house and thats it, just far enough to keep critters from climbing onto the dwelling.

A trap is only a trap if you dont know about it. If you know about it, its a challenge

Sure do and almost on every job.

If squirrels or raccoons are using trees to get on the roof why would you not trim the branches back? If branches are over reaching the house you might as well sell them on gutter cleaning too (your already up there). We automatically give estimates for gutter cleaning on any job our ladder goes up on the house.

We give estimates for dryer hose cleaning anytime we install a dryer vent cover. While these turn into sales at a rate of about 1 outta 5 that one more than pays for the effort on the other four. Plus we get a few who just have us keep coming back to do it again.

We do gutters in spring and fall and do dryer hoses every six months.

Make sure to check your insurance. I have to have multiple policies because of the other services we do besides wildlife (tree trimming, roofing, gutters/soffit/facia) and soon to be insulation (non animal related).
