I always used sardines but for some reason I have 2 stinkers that wont touch em A little off topic, I had a lady call me last week about a skunk she caught in her trap. She said she was trying to catch a porcupine that was peeling her trees. In conversation she says "I don't understand why I can't catch this porky, all I've caught are my neighbors cat and this skunk. I figured that porky would like the sardines I'm using for bait" DUH

I treat skunks like coons. Either protein or carbs, both have a sweet tooth aka carbs and are predators that eat meat aka protein. JMO but there are certain times of year or at certain sites where they tend to key into one or the other and aren't interested in anything else. Sardines, where cats are not an issue, are my go to on skunks as are other protein baits such as cat food, dog food, pet treats, cracklins/pork rinds, etc but when that fails I go to the sweets such as honey buns, old honey comb, molasses and other sundry items. Actually with skunks I almost always have both as I like to trail mini marshmellows at all sets but I have also had success with gummy bears/worms.

David, I have a confession to make. Besides the gummy bears and gummy worms there are gummy raspberries. I have let none of them ever escape from my truck! Marshmallows are another matter. I was so upset that I ran out of them yesterday that I stopped at a Menard's where they were on sale for 75 cents a bag. I bought 25 bags of them. Bet I won't run out of a while now!

raw eggs and cheap hot dogs work well for me
women like me because I rarely wear underwear, and when I do it's usually unusual.
