More info is needed before we can respond. Are you in this business? Do you have liability insurance? Your county or state Dept. of Health Control will have information.

A shop vac will get you into trouble. HEPA equipment is needed on work where the customer might be sickened by the work you do. Get educated. Good luck.

Watch plaster keys...potential acm. You need special license to handle acm. Mi requires builders lisc...if you add or remove insulation.

Could be a good idea to wet down animal droppings before you clean them . I'm just saying little spots . Not saying run the garden hose up in the attic instead of doing what these guys are saying and if you do get into doing it with a 12" hose how do you stop the thing from shocking the crap out of you with static Electric

Pesky, I've done that. Seems to me that air-borne spores are the biggest problem. ( However, I did this twenty years ago ) Come on Dave, tell us the correct way.

Is it poo...or Spores? Those vac bags being sold...are not hepa. If there is a source, please provide.

cleanouts require tyvek suit with hoodie, booties, duct tape to secure gloves to tyvek, full face respirators with hepa filters, and good rubber gloves. it is a hot puppy in an attic this time of year, get 2-4 guys and rotate each one in the attic for 10-15 minutes at a time and you can work all day

also on the vac bags, i know that billy turk's company sells a hepa filter bag that is around $495, at least it was 5 years ago, it fits around the normal vac bags. the only thing i didn't like about the bag was it used velcro to seal it, hard to get it 100% sealed

I don't think it's possible to make a hepa bag! There
Would be too much resistance it would bogg down the
Vacuum!
