had an E.M.G. nerve continuity test. left radial nerve is dying and L-hand atrophing.
says maybe it can be saved . kinda nervous about it . have to give up a lot of things if I lose the use of that hand.I'm L-handed. But I'll give it to GOD.
Whatever will be will be. Anyone been through that? What were the results?

I'm dealing w/disc/nerve issues as well that radiate down left arm. No joke, I can tell you that. Been dealing w/it for about 8 years. Nothing like it when it flares up. God bless you, and good luck. It does change your perspective on life, doesn't it? I am lucky to have the family I have to help me through sometimes. Good Luck, Brother.

I feel for ya. I fell head first onto asphalt from about 5-6 feel after being thrown back in 2003. Left me with a MTBI, 2 damaged neck disks had fusion on one. Tore everything in R shoulder, had one surgery on that and need to go back in for a joint replacement. Have nerve pain from the right side of my head all the way down into my R hand (I'm R handed). Low back pain and gained about 100 pounds after injury.

Recommendation: Don't give up. You give it up to the Lord but you use what God gave you in brains and determination. I'e lost 50 pounds in the last year. I'm spending more time with an anesthesiologist looking for way to help the headaches, nerve pain, back pain, etc. Be re-screened for Carpal Tunnel, my more was being told for the last 5 years her hand pain was due to the deterioration in her neck. Turned out to be Carpal Tunnel. If it was properly diagnose 4-5 years ago, I can't imagine what a difference it would have made. She's 72 so there's no getting bacl those 5 years.

Ask about drugs like Lyrica, they work on over active nerve endings and may help with the over stimulus of the nerve you must be experiencing.

Good Luck and God Bless

I think there is a disc space that serves the thumb and forefinger, and another space (above or below) that serves the middle, ring, and little finger. One of the disc is C-5 I think. I have spinal stenosis (sp) and was told I would need to fuse five discs and would loose motion in my neck. The surgeon advised me to wait five years. Glad I listened because it has now been 7 years and the problem is mostly gone. Retirement is a wonderful cure for neck tension.
