I Have never traped fox or yotes before, but i went to just one of my locations to take a couple of Pictures.

Could you guys tell me were a good place would be to set traps for the K9's
First picture~

2nd picture~ Same one as first just alittle bit farther away

this pictures a just alittle bit to the right of the first two pictures

This one, i just turned around and took another pictures. I am standing on a lane that goes over the ditch just like the one to see in the first one towards the back of the picture.

Thanks for the help!!!!

yup.

you have 2 tree lines that come together...the k9's will fallow or hunt these, depending on thier mood.

but its a natural line, they will fallow.

Great info there Charles. I agree, but I would be placing more the four traps in the field lol.

theres certainly a couple more decent potential places, but i didnt know where the property line ended. \:\)

around here, sometimes that small tree line IS the property line...and seeing how it goes from brome to corn, mad eme think it might be a property line.

I agree with Charles, and the second picture he put X's on, the short tree line in the back ground would also be another good location.

The lane way with the crop change up and the pipe will be a good spot till winter starts. The open fields lose their draw to the animal when the cover disappears and the winter winds start. I think Pigeon is in the thumb so if you have any roost ponds they are great spots to set when the waterfowl migration starts.

In the winter set the wood lots and any swamps or potholes as that is where there only food source is. Open fields are normally a waste of traps as there is normally a better place for a set.

ND trapper hit my favorite spot. But mainly congradulations on asking the right question, everyone is always asking what set, location is most important.....jk

A yote will travel like a human, will take the easiest routes. I think thats why CharlesKS made them marks. Which I'de done the same. the fourth pic Ide also place some traps at the end of the ditch line, It acts as a point.

i understand all that jitter .... but the top of the culvert would be a junction of travelways ... instead of coverin just both sides of the ditch the culvert top (or sides) would be a higher percentage catch locations (in my opinion)
