Yes it works, I set one once and had a coyote the second day in a neighborhood. I believe the claim is 85% success rate which seems pretty good.

yeah if you are using the that tool in coon country you need to get off the edges and out a little. it is a k9 tool.

If coons are messing with it you could just trap them with a cage trap , I guess it worked good over in Iraq for are soldiers , I got one from mn trappline pro , I can get a one year permit to use it now , but it's looking like soon just my reg permit will be fine . My kids have been using are dog for practice , it will only catch k9 , its very dog friendly , The dog did get wise to it fast , coons messing with it should not fire it unless they try to run off with it in the right direction , I like my snares but on some jobs these can not be used because its just to wide open and no trails , I'm great with my leg holds but also can risk non target catch on some jobs , I do have a big live trap witch has been set for 6 months from job to job but still no catch . I'm trying bobcat gland in it right now on some coyote that have lost all fear of man . One thing I do fear is that more company's will start doing there Owen coyote instead of sending them to me ,but I guess I really don't make much at it anyway I mostly enjoy it and good stress releaf and a little exercise sometimes .

the coon pull on the t and the cable swings up and hits them in the forehead or middle of the back at least that is what the tracks looks like. LOL just like using the foot snare better to just get it back away from the coon line if you can of course in a yard that is not going to happen LOL

Peskycritter, first why would you use bobcat gland for coyote, soooo many better choices. LOL
The Collarum is a great tool and very friendly in the city. If you are in an area that you can usse a foot trap than you have the best trap of the job, but if you are in a area that you can't the collarum is my choice. I have captured many Coyotes in them. The Bait can be any bait that triggers a bite and pull response. The bait the was developed for the trap is called Collarum Canine Bait. Any bait that is used on grub stakes, M44's will work fine.

Looking forward to seeing it. I make the CCB (Collarum Canine Bait). WCS sells PROLINE Lures. WCS owns the Collarum Trap. You can find them on their website at Shopwcs.com

Any bait that a coyote wants to eat after it tastes the bait will work. The more aggressive the bite and pull response the better it will work.
