The anchor buddy works pretty well for me. I prefer it to the indian anchor setup most of the time. I usually double them up though, as a single strand has trouble holding my 20ft skiff in stiff wind. Also, if you pull hard enough on 'em, one end of the bungee can come undone, losing the ability to pull your boat back out. You can retie fairly easy.

Cool thing happened to me last night when I went out to check some sets. One set had snagged a rabbit that a cat had completely eaten except for the two front feet that were in the trap. I remade the set, left the remains and added another chunk of rabbit hanging in the tree. Went down the line fixing up a few more sets, on the way back about 40 minutes later I had a cat in that bunny set. Quickest turn around I've had. He was probably setting there licking his chops when I was fixing the set. Unfortunately didn't have my camera.

Cats have been driving me crazy this year

Blew 80 knots northerly yesterday near where I trap. Wonder if I have any flower pots left on trees. I can only imagine the drifts on the beach. UGGHH!
Now we have a winter storm watch.

Just doing what I want now.

ok, got me a gold claim with a cabin on it!!!!! plenty of moose, wolf, etc..had a wolf kill just 1/3 mile from cabin!....

so, I want to plant a garden that will feed em and attract critters...

I'll have two bait stations for bear...so, was wondering what was good to plant for bear....cabbage?, etc....

What would moose eat? rye grass?

I know moose destroy the broccoli around here so bad they opened up a controlled hunt the last few years to try to help the farmers

Thanks guys, I really enjoy looking at everyone else's photo's so thought I would contribute.

Doing well Steve. Focusing on cats until Feb 15 end of season. Then I will go see if I can find some wolves. They have moved out of my area with the moose pop. being so low. The brown bear season and predator control are a little late, but better late then never. I don't recall the harvest number on the bears but it seemed pretty low to actually put a dent in the population in my opinion.

Len, was talking to Dan B today he used to trap a little bit in there where you are and said the wolves were pretty thick. Doesn't sound like they get trapped very hard. Is there someone trapping downstream from you?

Downstream, Upstream North and South. Next year I am headed farther in . Too much competition close to town. A year to learn the country. ;0) Having fun however. There is plenty of moose where I am at. But I now have marten prep on my mind and it is pretty much taking most of my thought process to get geared up for my subspecies of marten.
Martes americana,(finickypaininthbuttous). Will see who comes out on top this year. Some new surprise for them.

Broccoli, I bet you I can just use a 4 wheeler and a railroad tie with 8in spikes in it to plow up the garden, throw the seeds out and flip the railroad tie over and drag it around...wonder what kind of grass bears eat...it should be legal to plant on your registered bear stand??? Or just plant a garden and don't worry about it?...don't want to 'bait' illegally...guess they might eat my cabbage? that would be easy...and legal, as far as you know...oh, oh, wonder if govt regulations have something about me having to have a 'fence' around it....

Max sun dogs today. I'm thinking it will be a while before we see the plus side of the scale again.
