I just started keeping a log of all my outdoor activities. Fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, trapping...whatever. I just make notes about what I saw and experienced. I think will be interesting to come back years later and notice any trends and the way things have changed over the years.

I log the date set, type of set, equipment used, baits if any, lures if any, and catch (with date). I also GPS mark each set or a cluster if I gang set then I download the GPS data to my computer and mapping software. That way I have a map with trap locations on it and the log to show what went where and the results.

You bet I do. If anything would prevent me from getting to my traps, my log will let anyone find them. As well as giving me record of the how each set preforms and why. Tom

Try these, this is all I use for my logs they are durable and when wrote on with a pencil, it doesnt smear. They have actual logs for hunting and fishing activities. None for trapping though. I just use one of their regular notebooks. \:\)

you can tell an animal ages from the amount of black on their teeth, atleast you do that with farm animals

If you download that, make sure you scan it with your antivirus or malware program. I did and the program has a worm in it. I downloaded the program from the rb59 or whatever it is site directly.

Check the archives, it's probably there!

i use cheap spiral notebooks ... this is the time of year to buy them ... they are dirt cheap

4trapr - you using that computer trapping log? does it compile it into spread sheets or what? sounds interesting \:\)

who am i kidding ... i'll probably never change my ways lol

i leave mine in the truck and just write down as i go from stop to stop ... unless the roof leaks or it rains horizontal into a open window ... cheap ol spirals are about as high tech as i'll get lol
