are these old chanterelles? if so will they be up again this year or next?

They look like Black Trumpet Chantrelles to me.

The ones in the pics were the last ones standing. They looked a little rough to me. But I know nothing about them. Should I pick them

will they come up again? i wish i would have been out there a week ago. there had to be 50+ just in a 10x15 spot. are they good to eat? i know they are edible but are they any good?

Black chantrelles if ever I saw one. Tasty too. I like them in a cream sauce with pan fried walleye or any other fresh fish.

I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man were to challenge me I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand to a quiet place and kill him.
