Sure looks like it. Seems to usually grow around the nasty stuff, poison ivy, nettles etc.

yep thats it.That is the most handy plant.I use it on everything.Bug bite ,sun burn, poison ivy even small scrapes and cuts.If the skeeters are real bad I smash it up and use as a so-so bug repellant.Stone root is better for the bugs tho...

OK thx guys .
As almost all my research returns plants with a reddish stem, I wasn't sure.
I am on it now.
Thx again.

That may be what I seen in a youtube video.
She said she kept them in the freezer til needed.
Do a Jewelweed search in youtube and you get it right away.

I had tons of it in my woods, usually in wet areas, and lots of time close to where poisen ivy grew. Eventually it will have a small orange flower. The deer used to really mow mine down in a dry summer.

I am having hard time seeing a close up of your pics.
I will say yes, they are in flower around here right now.
If you would like a photo of some holler or PM me.
And I will walk over to the side yard and takes some.

I believe your picture is jewelweed.
A close-up of the flower, and of some leaves would help me.

Break apart the thicker stems and crush the pulp inside enought to form juices. (very wet and pulpy inside). Rub on and in 15 min. or so you should have some results.
Since I have found jewelweed this summer its about all I grab for any skin irritations.
Also search youtube for jewelweed uses.
Alot of good videos on this available.

I walked out in the back and took few photos of the jewelweed patch.
Hope this helps you.
Extremely wet area almost water standing. Too wet to mow.
Plants are about shoulder high.
I have noticed it appears the plants in wooded areas are slightly darker green colored to me.
