How do you do it? I can't find a single "how-to" post anywhere.. So let's start one right here!

This ? keeps comin up alot lately. Here are my cat boards,my fox boards are set up the same way.I used pine and cedar, pins go in the cedar a little easier.

For those of you that can build something from a few pictures I hope these help. For those that need more explanation you're on your own because I'm horrible at explaining.

If you have a band saw it would be better to cut a slot back about 3" and use a peice of aluminum flashing and put 2 finish nail one side and 1 on the other. Throw away that tail board and use a peice of cardboard.

If you cant do it better then its not worth doing. I hate thieves, Liars, and people with mouths bigger than their butt.

Thanks for the replies and pics everyone! Can anyone give a brief rundown of how they build them? This would be great archive material if we could get it compiled.

I use a fender washer on the nose of mine. Nice sturdy stretcher once put together.

Here is the base and tail board. If your gonna make adjustables i'd say make them properly. Why build one and have to add card board to pin the tail to.

I cut out both slats at the same time. Attach to pieces of wood together. Cut out on bandsaw and then touch up on the disc sander. If there is a misscut it shows on both slats.

I sure wish someone on the west coast would start making and selling them. They would do great. Hint Hint Cageycat.

OK I am ready for some dimensions? I like all of those. Do you just make the sides pretty well straight? How thick are they?

Thanks and God Bless, Louis
