Len, what kind of rifle you got tucked under your cot? Looks like a dandy smile
I've got to get me one of those electorch attachments, also a foldable handsaw would be in the box as well(thats if I travel or decide to scout around long distances). I'm not a longliner yet but glad to see the comments and suggestions of seasoned trappers here giving pointers to others that decide to get at it hard for awhile.

Bob, I capped the fuel can spout with my hand to pull some from the can and pour. It is pain to do anything with the engine/carbs on a Rev chassis.

I always carried a used shotgun shell and kept a length of fuel line for siphoning when my fuel was to low to get the shell in tank with a leatherman. When I was having problems with my Honda gen earlier this winter I got away with the wifes turkey baster for awhile but had to replace that. When I did I also ordered a long syringe with a curved pointed tip that works great as long as you clean it out afterwords so the seals don't leak.
BTW that starting problem with the 2k honda turned out to be an old fuel problem.

Bob, the ONLY problems I have ever had with the 2k hondas are fuel related...water and/or old fuel...a little water in the fuel or varnish in the carb sure makes those things surge and just run weird...

grin I know, I've got the gerber handsaw(sturdy and breaks down) with a bone blade & wood blade in a folded sheath. I saw it and just could resist the $25 price on it. Sure hope that cheap price doesn't mean short lifespan of use. But I did use it a number of times for moose legs smile

I've got to add a shotshell to my bag of things to have with me. I got the fuel line 1/4" just for those types of things but got to get a shotshell.

I just picked up 4 saw blades, pruning saw replacement blades off ebay for about $9 apiece plus shipping. The blades are $20 everywhere else. I make a handle out of plywood.
Bar none the best saw I have found for marten trapping. But I have to say since I started using the Stihl 180 on the marten line they don't get the use they use to. But these corona blades are a darn good saw for the snowmobile. Cutting willows etc you can get hung up in etc.

I havent noticed anybody say anything about flares, seeings I have them for my boat I just throw it in my action packer and I also have a safety vest for the visibility for the unknown cercumstance. My trapline gun is the henry U.S. survival 22 lr. barrel goes in stock reciever and spare clip also and it floats and pretty light weight. works awesome on sheep hunts and other hunts also.

grin I snared my first Lynx....ever! grin

Thanks to a lot of insight from you guys (special thanks to Family Trapper and his YouTube vids)I snared my first Lynx. Frustration had set in by multiple walk-by's on my cubbies. I changed up my game by making my own snares, a little extra long to reach where I needed them to. Swapped to pen and walk-thru sets, and connected. I am working nights, got up early yesterday afternoon and ran out to snowshoe my traps before work and was completely stoked by the results! Just got home from work, need to go sleep. I took "before and after" pictures of the set. I will try to put them in their own post in a couple of days. Here is a pic from my phone.
Once again guys, Thank You.

I would rather go to jail for spanking my child, than have them go to jail because I did'nt.
