arctichomestead trapper Registered: 07/25/08 Loc: VT, AK	This is a serious threat not only to those in MI I suspect... http://www.gunreports.com/news/news/Gun-Hunting-Ban-in-Michigan_2564-1.html Quote: (Columbus, OH) - As a result of a recent anti-hunting court ruling, the U.S. Forest Service is starting a formal review of its Management Plan for the Huron-Manistee National Forest to consider banning hunting with firearms in some areas. In September, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Forest Service’s regulations required that it consider banning hunting with guns on lands designated as “semi-primitive.” The Court found that the noise associated with gun hunting could harm the quality of the recreational experience of hikers, backpackers, and cross county skiers. _________________________ I can't read my signature.

arctichomestead trapper Registered: 07/25/08 Loc: VT, AK	Not only that, but this is a dangerous precedent...I've run into more hikers and cross country skiers than I care to count here in national forest land, with the attitude of they own it and hunters should stay out. Now imagine if they could sue to keep us out...I guess I'll turn into a real rebel then... _________________________ I can't read my signature.
