Lucky,

I run an ADC biz. A lot of them are in someone's yard!
If I set about 20 in your yard, I'd have quite a nights catch! smile

Got a 13 something average from groeny for put up coon. Quite a few were docked due to snare marks. Otherwise it would have probably been somewhere above 14$ avg.

Never thought of raccoons being in Nevada...is that not semi-desert country?

Me too... I'm looking at some 160's and 220's in buckets to put out in creek drainages along my K9 line next year. More bucket photos, ideas, and tips please...

Those kill trap will work better for you when fitted with a pan instead of the traditional wire set-up!

Dad-gun, I wish we could get some of yalls fur buyers to come down to Texas for an auction or at least a pick-up. There isn't a single fur buyer in Texas that will buy any coons not to mention beaver, otter, mink, fox, muskrat, sambos or skunk...oops, wait, one will buy only hognose skunks.

Fantastic post and replies from everyone and it sure brings back fond memories when I used to hit it hard.

One batch of 143 that I sold brought a $12.47 average! Not bad for Louisiana coon!

No season in Utah for coon, we can kill em all year long. It has really put a dent in them, I ran traps from october 15th until Feb. 27th and only caught one coon. Most of my sets were 4 fox but usually I will gather up a coon or two from the sets. Early in the season before it got cold I ran 20 or so bucket sets and only saw one set of tracks. Between trapping, hounds and disease they are pretty thin around here.....
