I have been asked to Post some pictures of my K-9 Dryer. Here is what I use in my furshed for drying Coyotes and Fox when the Pelt has been turned fur side out. I have had great results with it and no rotting, stinking heads to smell while putting up the other fur.

I used a Bathroom Exhaust Fan that mounts in the ceiling, coupled to some PVC fittings to make multiple drying ports. The tubes I use are 3/4" PVC Pipe with multiple holes drilled in them for air flow. When I only have 1 or 2 to do, I plug the other ports with a short piece of PVC Pipe and Cap.

The last picture shows how the Pipe would be inside the pelt on the stretcher. I use all Adjustable Stretchers for K-9's.

Was going to say put some holes in the pipe until I looked closer.

I've seen a couple set ups like this but with a larger fan and more holes, dry's pelts in hours, you don't need any heat either which is a very good thing too.

Very nice setup thanks for sharing it !!

Do you dry with the fur on the inside first and the fur out with the dryer? Great set up..

Dry inside out until paper dry, then turn hair side out and put on the dryer.

im curious about something...why do you turn them?

Jerry uses a forced air system and they dry fur side out all the way through the drying process.

heres a couple pics of his set up.

Good Job and I'm sure it works real well.....

Later

That reminds me! We did use it to dry our chest waders out from sweat this last spring from beaver trapping.

lol I've seen everything now. So how much time do you save with that thing? Looks like a great way to speed things up a tad and ensure no slippage-

Way to use that thing between your shoulders!

Using a "drying rack" for canine is also a way of getting maximum size with less chance of tearing, by turning them.

If you hang those canine upside down(head down), brush the fur against the flow, they will dry and look fuller too!

we save alot of time by not having to turn the hides during the drying process.
