My buyer doesn't require the ear cartilage to be removed so I never have. I've decided I'm going to change and start doing it next season. While some of you fellas are still skinning, could someone shoot & post a Video on how this is done?

I can tell you how I did it Phil had a video on here. Once you see the ear where you normally cut it pop a screwdriver thru there and pull down it's a lil tough but that's the just of it.

It will pop right out like the Col. said. I have never felt the need to remove it and never had an issue.

Never argue with a fool - they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

If you go on the Fur Harvesters web site they have pretty good pictures on how to remove the ear cartilage. Good luck

Like the Col said. some of the fur may stay on the back of the ear but it isnt any big deal. If you ever start drying your own fur this is the only way to go. Down this way if you dont it starts slipping and stinking.

I've been drying and putting up my own fur for over 20 years and this year is the first time I had slippage on an ear. I looked at walmart yesterday and couldn't find borax anywhere.
