Will a coffee bean grinder work for grinding castors? What do you use?

The plastic will be imbeaded with the smell after, small amounts and a medium to take it out after and used as lure as well.

Yes...it will work just fine. Let them dry partially..dice them up coarsely....add a little at a time with a tad of glycerin or glycol. Mine has a metal bowl, so no plastic to get stinky. But it was $11 anyway, and is dedicated to grinding castor.

Daniel, That's what I had in mind. Only making lure for myself and I figured the bean grinder should do it. Also not an expensive buy in. Thanks for the input everyone.

I prefer using a cheap blender. Makes short work of them.

LOL I smoked a blender about 30 years ago.
Didn't know how to dry them and they were too dry. LOL

Melted in a heart beat.
Good thing it was a throw away I found in the trash.

Being metal, does the odor wash totally out of them or do you need to make it a dedicated bait grinder?

LOL I don't know, but I think I would.

Go to flea markets, grarge sales and pick them up cheaper than at Lehmans.
Even on Ebay will be cheaper.

I have several grinders. Universal Brand I believe.

Still prefer a cheap blender. I suppose mine has ground Castor from over 100 Beaver. I give maybe $15 for it.

I'm new here and was curious.... What if anything do you add to the casters after you grind them... for lure?

I add 2 eggs, some tomatoes, a can of Mackerel and one diced up onion... mix together and fry up in little patties!
