I bought the beam, it came without any mounts of any kind. Both of the 1x6s are bolted to the studs, then I used the metal brackets to join the 2x4s, and used the turn buckles to stabilize the beam so it wouldn't twist. It's ver solid, you can see both 1x6s are low on the beam, it's angled back slightly and nothing attatched to the beam from the top down to the first 1x6. I mounted it verticle because I don't have the space for a horizontle beam, also saw in a video made by M. Howard and this was similar to his setup. For me, it works out well, and easy on my back. The bottom of the beam is also up high enough for a 5 gal pale to fit under it, I put a plastic bag in there to catch the scrapings, makes for easy cleanup.

I just find the pic amusing now... lol

LA, Thank you for bringing that thread to my attention. I am not sure why the majority of those photos in that post have to be opened. Each photo was visible in my initial revised draft here on Trapperman.

That same post can be viewed in its entirety in this link:

Fleshing Beams In Review

This should make it a little easier to access and retrieve while those interested in this topic scroll through the examples.

LOL
i guess the pics were opened up because it was easier for them to post their own pic than to find YOUR initial draft

There are different ways of looking at things.

The round thing is my wader dryer. I place a bucket there with a fan blowing in the funnel. Behind the fur shed is a small open shed where I hang my hunting cloths boots and waders to keep them scent free. The PVC splits just outside the wall into two seperate flexible 1 1/4" drain tubes 6 ft long. I place one in each wader foot and they are dry by morning.
