Oil dry is a clay product ( dirt ).I would think if it was tumbling it would break down and pack in the fur.Just my 2 cents.

it does have a certain amount of dust to it, but it is harder than just dirt, it goes through a drying processthat makes it harder. if you can get it try agrisorb, its about the same as oil dri, but it will absorb water where oil dri wont, and it is a finer grain with very, very little dust.

Try some ground up corn cobbs, they work well and put a good shine on the fur.

i don't think it would be hard to comb out, though i've never done it, probably would be a bad idea to do a couple test hides first just to see how it does

I would use dry sawdust, thats what I used to use at the taxidermy shop to dry out birds and pelts. Then you can just blow it out with an air gun when your done. It will fluff them right out. Ground Corn cobs would work well too but, sawdust is free or very cheap.
