The "Quaint Village" thing is a bumper sticker on about every other car in Homer, or used to be. The fads kinda fading now.
Was slightly witty at first but after you see it a couple thousand times it starts to sorta wear thin.

That bumper sticker is also available for dang near every town in South East. I've spent a lot of time in Cordova, which would be a decent town to check out. Their bumper sticker and sweatshirts say NO ROAD since they don't want to be connected. They say all kinds of shady people will move in. I've had to break they news to those people and tell them they're all ready there. Maybe they're more scared that everyone will move out. While working over there, I managed to slay some ducks. The hunts only lasted about 30 minutes for 8 ducks. Stocking up on ducks and trap bait. It was blowing about 40-60 and rainy in my face...hence the expression.
