I'm about out of dried blood and my source for it seems to have dried up. I'm needing to make some more Backbreaker, and am in need of some dried blood. It makes a great thickener. Its attractive to the cats and canines and doesn't bother the beavers.

I've seen it at the feed store ... bag was maybe 10 pounds you got me wondering if it is a difference between blood meal and "dried blood" ... I'm of the thinking they are the same ... or derived from the same process and origin/source ??? check with ol' scruffy (the fella between Barney and Buzzy)

Call Perdue. They put it in chicken feed I think and surely they sell their "guts stuff" to someone.

Rendering plants may have it.Saw many of tankers heading to Valley protiens with nothing but chicken blood in them.I worked at Weavers chicken, now Tyson chicken in the early 80s on sanitation. One of my jobs was squegging jelled chicken blood out of the killing room into hoppers that goes right into tankers destine for Valley Protiens rendering plant. They made products out of dead stuff there.
