Can anybody give me the dimensions for a fox BOARD stretcher? Wanting to make one for the GRAY fox that I caught today. Is there any difference in the size of stretcher for grey as opposed to red? just curious.

I'm different than most answers you'll get. I put both up on a fox board that is 51/2 wide by 54 long. Most will say it's to narrow cause it's not NAFA sized. POO..I say.A 51/2 makes a nice lookin fox of either color and I don't get down gradad by any buyers. If the fox is a big one I just pleet the back when I pin it down.Again I like the looks of pleeted fox. My humble opinion as always. RD

I use 5 1/4" wide for greys and 5 3/4"" for reds, all 48" long. Not sure of the dimensions at the neck and shoulders. I do know greys have a MUCH skinnier neck.

Grey Fox - Cased fur out, front legs in, lower lip off, ear cartilage out.
Grey fox are skinned the same way as a red
fox, but must be fleshed. Grey fox have a
heavy saddle that must be removed before
being placed on the board.

Yepper the 5 1/4 or 5 1/2 board does a great job on all fox. Nafa dims. for red fox are to wide. Makes a red fox much flatter looking than it should be. I put all my fox on 5 1/4 in boards. I have a flat red fox in this area and it helps the quality grade out a bit.
