notice a few when I was skinning a few coons the other day. my fur shed is a 8 x 12 barn style, away from the house so I'm wondering where they go after I've skinned the critters?/???? have a lab pup and he's off limits to it now. seen pics of guys in garages so wondering if any problems with them in house or pets? Anyone ever have to spray fur shed?

If you've got fleas in there now, you've got to bomb it. Assume they've already laid eggs on stuff like carpets, rugs, drapes and whatnot.

Pillows and little cushions you can put in a bag and put in the freezer overnight. Kills them and the eggs.

Bomb the shed.

When you catch a raccoon that has the fleas, or you plan to bring it to the shed mere hours after dispatch, put it in a garbage bag and spray insect killer in the bag and cinch it up. After an hour in the bag everything on the carcass should be dead, and you won't have this problem anymore in your shed.

Get the dog those drops you put on their neck and you shouldn't have to worry about him getting fleas & ticks.

Aroung here, all of our fox, bobcat and ringtail have fleas. I spray my down with insect killer (usually something like and and roach killer available anywhere) before they leave my truck. Quite often will spray them down before I put them in my truck. Putting them in a bag helps a lot. Easy problem to solve just be consistent.

In her defense I have an old lazy boy and a couch in my shed. Some times it just feels right. Plus I have some where to sleep if the wife ever gets really mad.

ask around and find a room sized old carpet that being replaced, lay it on the floor to fit, go the the hardware store and buy a premixed gallon of insecticide that treats fleas indoors or outdoors both, make sure it has a residual effect, many last for months and thats what ya want, spray the carpet very well and let the place air out for a day, then go about your bidness as usual, the carpet is the ist place fleas will go to hide, they dont last long, any eggs that hatch will head for the carpet as well, and they dont last long either, at the end of the season dispose of the carpet, clean your shop very well and i mean very well, then spray the shop all over, pretty much ends the flea problem.
