This is my first post and this could seem like a silly question to most of you, but every year I end up disposing of what's left of my fox urine and wait until just before trapping season to buy fresh urine. Does everyone do this? Will it go bad if I just leave it in the shed all summer? Also, I've been putting what's left of my lures in the freezer. Anybody see anything wrong this idea?

That'll work fine for your lures. On urine,if you've got a basement, this makes an ideal place for storage.Anyplace that's a little darker and cooler as well.

If you don't have anything like this,it still won't hurt anything to store it in the shed.I like urine that got some age better than fresh anyway.

just store it in a cool corner in your basement away from lite even toss a towel over the container to keep the light off...

Don't add anything to the pee (unless sub-zero weather, then you can add glycol to keep it from freezing solid)

Depending on the quality of the pee (if bad, like collected in summer, dog food fed, contaminated with food and or poo particles, etc.) it should be pitched before next season, as its turning bad by the hour.

If its good pee to start with, no "special" care is needed.....glass is better for long term storage, but heavy plastic will do. Also, don't store in direct sunlight.......

Heat has no effect on "good urine" in storage

Add some glycerine to it.It'll do it no harm and at the same time helps keep it from evaporating as fast when you use it.

Listen to wheelie! Tim Rose knows his stuff about handling urines seriously. He learned from the best.
