Yesterday, my mom gave me this sword from my great aunt's estate.

The blade reminds me off the blade of a rapier, being thin, pointed, hard, stiff, sharpened on two sides and diamond shaped. Obviously it lacks the guard of a rapier. It also looks like the kind of blade that would go in a sword cane. It appears old. It is made of a very good quality steel. It's 33" and 3/4" long. The blade is 5/8ths" wide at it's widest point.

Any ideas what type of sword it is?

Keith

Yea have seen several cane swords that are missing the cane part or it’s severely damaged and taped ect to hold it together, if you think about it makes sense because it the weakest part of the setup

Does yours have any markings on it

I could not find any markings on it. It may be marked under the pommel.
