I tell all my friends who have knee replacements not to leave the hospital with a temperature. I was told that anything below 101.5 was OK. Twenty-three months after a routine knee replacement, I was finally off antibiotics. That was in 2006. In 2012 it was replaced again and is now worse. Hurts 24/7.

Infection is bad. It plays havoc with our blood, organs, muscles, heart, bones, you name it. I am told my infection is gone but if I have any inflamation anywhere, tissue inside my knee swells and is pinched when I walk.
