Can it be purchased at craft stores or Wal-Mart? Is it the same stuff that you would put inside a pillow? I have never tried it before but was wanting to?

Thanks,
Matt

I used coffee filter's for years, Slim got me on the poly fil kick a few year's ago, i like it as you can pre stick it under your pan's before leaving home and then just set the trap and put in the ground, speed's things up.

Being from Bama, I dunno if you have problems w/ this or not, but what about it freezing under the pan. Can a mist of glycol take care of that or what do you recommend?

Ruger,
I gonna give it a try, I've got a new place to set next week where they have been seeing a few cats about everyother day. I'm gonna try a cubby or two just to do it, never have before. Do you open the bag of fill and let it air out or just leave in the bag and use. Sorry for so many q's just wanna cover the bases

Poly-fil doesn't absorb water, but it will hold water. If you get a lot of rain, and then a freeze (like happens every other day during trapping season in the North) it can freeze up solid.

I use both poly-fil and wax paper. I use poly-fil for sets where I don't dig a big trap bed and wax paper where I do. I've never had any problem with wax paper crinkling and making noise.
