I can't seem to find the post where a young trapper wanted to know how to locate muskrat glands.

The below photo shows the glands and where they are located on the male muskrat. They come off on the pelt, as you skin and are on males only. Also they will be larger and fuller as spring approaches.





These are of course removed before scraping and were left on to illustrate where they are located only! ;\)
Glands can be fresh frozen or dried and/or salted to be sold to lure dealers.
I hope this helps the young trapper who wanted to know.
