I checked archives and did a search but couldn't find anything. I know with k9 you have to skin them pretty quick or their fur will slip. How long can a cat sit before skinning? If I check in the morning and skin after work, will the fur still be ok?

Depends on temps, I have had em sit for 2 days in 40 deg temps with no sign of green belly. But to answer your question checking before work and skinning after should not be a problem.

I've had them sit out for up to eight hours in 60 degree wheather without a problem and over afternoon and night when in the forty's... I really like to skin them as soon as possible though.

I have found that fox's are worse it seems and like to skin the pretty quick. I love skinning foxs....
