I have many spots to trap for coyotes so i am hitting each one for two weeks or so then moing on. i have been boiling redying and rewaxing after every spot before going on. It takes a while to do and was wondering if you guys do the same or just take the same trap place to place no matter what you caught or didnt catch in them. if you dont wory about redoing all af this are your sets still productive. Any input is appreciated.

I used to reboil and rewax after every pull but I am now resetting traps that didn't make a catch and just sat in the bed I don't use salt much at all so it should be good to go

I take mine to the car wash when necessary. I would not use a trap from one location at another without cleaning it. I will rewax after cleaning if it is well worn.

If it has had a catch I will usually change traps unless its a cat set. If there has been no catch Ill handle the traps with my gloves, restore in scent free tubs and reset in the next location. Ive caught plenty of critters in dirty traps but I like to change if possible.

I understand why traps are waxed but what does the dye do? I do not dye my traps I just wax them. They are covered with dirt so what do I care what color they are? I think the silver compliments the fur nicely.
