I've heard of people using Backbreaker lure for raccoons a couple of times now, and I don't know anything about that, but let me tell ya Paul, I swear by Backbreaker for Beaver! My son & I harvested 38 Beaver last year with bodygrip & foot traps. All of our castor mound sets had Backbreaker Beaver lure on top, and every set was visited at least once! I've already purchased more for this year! Good stuff!

I dont think there is anything with a nose that can resist Backbreaker.

There are always plenty of coon tracks on my castor mounds.

No wonder theres shortage's of it, you nuts running around smearing on it everything for coons to cats!

Some of us have to remove beaver for a living, please i beg you, have a little mercy on us and only use it for beaver, lol. Don't make me start having to buy it by the gallon again!

I do see what your talking about with the nuisance beaver J. That's why I never use it at water sets for anything but beaver.

Now if them beaver want to climb out to check out my flat sets and dirholes with castor..thats their problem lol.

I'm glad y'all like the first beaver lure dad formulated. It has been a great seller and great producer.

I just hope I can continue to keep up with demand. It takes an awful lot of castor to make that lure and with the price of castor going so high, people are selling it at the auctions rather than trading/selling it to me. Every year I make about 25% more than the year before and this year I'm maxxed out on my castor supply. I don't know if I can increase production enough next year to keep up with demand, but I'll do my best.

I do sell my lures in pints, but I don't have them in my catalogs at this time in the pint quantities.

It just one of those all around lures that can be used to attract and trap any critter.

LOL Paul. Maybe you will have to lower your high standard and use some of our inferior northern castor!

LOL Goldy, then it wouldn't be Backbreaker, except in the north.

I might be able to come out with two backbreakers.... an Everywhere Backbeaker, and a Northern Backbreaker..... Then I'll have the Skunky Backbreaker that seems to be catching on - lol. It probably wouldn't make much difference where the castor came from for that, since its not for beavers.

I had 2 traps set out last week at an ADC setup. The castor mound set with Backbreaker had a Coon and my Dam spillway set had a beaver.

I pulled the traps 2 days later. The job was done!!

The coon was wasted of course, but it shows how much it is liked by them. I bought the bottle at the NTA convention.

This is much more dire than any griz shortage, can still buy a 1.5 coil and a cage trap for stupid coon.

Got enough Backbreaker to do me for the winter so you nuts have at it, go smearing it on rocks, stumps, down holes, whatever you wish.

Paul didn't want any northern castor last spring. He says it spoils his formula.

Hey Paul, I had a very good year using Backbreaker and I was lucky enough to get a 92 lb beaver in a castor set. That stuff works wonders and I cant say enough good things about it! Total catch using this lure was 51 beaver! Lots of work but was worth every second of it! Keep up the great work. I would be willing to GIVE you all my castors for more lure in trade. I am from New York and want to know if you want my castors this year? Let me know please as I will give you first dibs on my castors. I will be trapping a never trapped area for beaver this late fall and it is making me excited waiting for them to prime up. All traps dyed and ready to go ! arghhhh The wait is killing me! I have sole trapping rights to 31 beaver houses and all of their ponds and waterways. Rats galore as well !
