...grey fox, bobcat, and coyote?

Which do you prefer for these species? solid wood boards or adjustable stretchers? Where do you get your stretchers? Grawe's seems to have a great supply of different stretchers. Was thinking of getting some of theirs.

Happy Plumber???

I was planning on getting some good ones and using them for patterns when I make more. Would you use adjustable for fox as well as bobcat/coyote?

same as HLW for me , solid on the otter , adj. for the fox and yote all though mine came from trapper art's supply . for me the adj. stretchers make it alot easier to turn them fur out once they dried some.

That makes sense. To the fox boards designed for red fox work well for grey fox? I know Grawe's had a specific grey fox board that was slimmer.

BTW, couldn't find happy plumber...

One more question, does the adjustable coyote stretcher work for bobcats, or do I need a bobcat stretcher?

i use otter boards for cats, or a small yote board for xlarge cats.

all my boards are solid, not adjustable. once you get a pattern you can make your own fairly easy.

i have two separate boards for reds and grays.

The coyote and cat stretchers are different.

I make my own boards, from western red cedar, which are real close to Grawes' patterns.

Shown are, the double adjustable super 'coon, adjustable fox (lg & sm), and a more coyote specific 'cat/coyote board (*see below).

To answer the question "does the adjustable coyote stretcher work for bobcats, or do I need a bobcat stretcher?"

The answer can vary, in some places, and to some board makers, a coyote stretcher is suitable for 'cats, but others make a 'cat specific board.
*When the bobcat board is unique, it will often have a more blunt nose, and a thicker cross section and slightly wider sides (to prevent bowing).

Otter need a lot of pinning around the hips and tail, so for this reason, I like a solid board (with a serious belly wedge).
