you would be surprised some places want an old guy , they remember how to work even if they are a little slower at it , showing up on time and not calling off for every hang nail is still useful.

Financial advice I had to learn for my age group
Build credit
Take a hour a day to educate yourself on finances/ basic tax stuff ( up to date stuff )
If you get a job , corporate/ large chain type ( Walmart Lowe's McDonald's ect) understand now days most of the time working hard is usually just gonna equate to you getting worked more instead of getting a raise.
Don't depend on the idea of traditional retirement/ career stuff

It has been mentioned above but learn about money and finance. Learn about saving and budgeting and saving. Live under your means and save then retire early! A carrier in the trades is respectable and pays well. I was never taught about money and struggled until I was well into my 40s.

Easy now, all that's over rated.

Seriously though spelling I'm weak in and it really makes things tougher. Can't type when you can't spell. Spell check can't even figure it out at times. A lot of times.

If you want nice stuff don't fall in the debt trap and get loans for everything as most do. Save your money pay cash.
If it doesn't save you money or make you money you don't need it.

Learn the difference between want and need not many Americans know that today. Start saving and investing young and you can be a millionaire before or by 50.
