If you were buying a dozen RBGs for beaver primarily with some otter, would you go with the 330 or 440 size? I currently have 6 duke and 6 bridger 330s.

Check state laws first...think I'd go in slowly and buy a few of each IF LEGAL....they take a bit of practice to set and get used to but great traps.

I think personally I’d rather some RBG 330’s. I’d get the “big bear” or whatever the double wide kit he sells. I think those would be more useful than 440’s.

Just my $.02

It depends on how much beaver trapping you’re planning to do. We have 18 body grippers a few #4 long springs and piles of snares. My partner uses the long springs, we both use the body grippers and I use a lot of snares. Lots of snares.

Last summer dried up a lot of water, concentrating beavers. A mild short winter added to the removal of lots of beavers. This summer is predicted to being another scorcher. We may not be in beaver (number) heaven for a while.
