What is the best hunting magazine you know of other than Fur-Fish-Game? I want to by a 12 issue sub to a hunting magazine that focuses mainly on deer and turkey hunting for a friend? Any ideas? TIA

I can't help you. I dropped my last outdoor magazine subscription back when Pat McManus retired and Outdoor life replaced his column with celebrity interviews.

I still get FFG and probably always will as long as they stay in print.

I love reading the older outdoor magazines, Sports Afield, Outdoor Life and Field and Stream magazines from the fifties and sixties are the best.

Eh...wot?

Wait, aren’t you the same person that couldn’t afford 100 trap tags for $20?

Most of the few remaining magazines are nothing but garbage. Nothing but truck advertisements and re-hashed worthless articles.
FFG is about all that's left. If Eastmans is still around It might still be good,. It was the last good one I remember looking at a few yesrs ago.

That is actually a good magazine. I forgot I subscribed to it. I got a free year when I took another HTE class, that one with a granddaughter. After the year was up I subscribed.

Black rifles and 1911 clones choke out most hunting magazine articles today.
