I’ll assume your season is closed. Or close to
It. Coon this time of year look crummy. The under fur is breaking down and you’ll see “scratchy neck” sign if you skin it.

I hate it when coons hit the footholds and not the DP or cage, lol. Now is the time to hit them if you’re looking to help out your ground nesters.

Yeah season closed but it's still open on my land. Coon when I skined it was white not blue or whatever color it goes to.

Our season is open 365. The State is attempting to help out the turkey population.

It will be white when you skin it but it's going to turn really dark once dried. Our coon were in rough shape a month ago when the season closed. If it's for predator control I guess it makes sense

Here in Utah we have no coon season
