I'll have to ask the customer..Small.Block Chevy ..I know that. It has 3 on the tree...with an overdrive . When I moved it into the garage...it's been a long time since I drove a column shift car

Are you the known expert in your area? Full time, part time, only when you feel like it? Will you have to find paint to match? I have been at my craft since 1976 in my area. I do not advertise I write the estimate ..I do the work. Word of mouth is my advertising. I see if the car has single stage paint or Base / clear...then get the paint mixed from the paint code If no paint code..I have access to a color camera...that will develope a color. I make spray out cards and use my Sunlight to match colors. There's a lot of (I's ) in there...cuz I work alone. So yeah...expert sounds good

Should be enough metal to dolly block and file ! All picked and filed.. Looks like someones been here before.. Looks like old Dupont 80S Red Oxide Lacquer primer too. Customer said it was done back in 1985... The single stage paint still looks great. But the car stays garaged at all times.

No surprise to find previous work. What’s your guess on paint ? Acrylic enamel sanded and rubbed , Deltron , Lacquer ?

Regardless of type of paint, sure looks like a healthy dose of orange peel in the close up picture of the door/dent on the first page...maybe its just the photo.

Customer had a lable of the Paint Brand and paint code...which was nice for a change. Most of the meatballs that paint a cah ...nevah put a little note in the glove box ,with that info...for the next guy. I am usually the next guy...lol Looks like Dupont Nason 2K Urethane...single stage. Tops were probably cut and buffed.. Sides not so much...but looks good. Some dust nibs here and there .and the usual peel . I could definitely bring the paint up a couple notches ...but that another 60-70 hours of cutting and buffing
