Ancient clay tables. I have to read the translations
A lot of interesting things happened in past that we are not taught in any form
Ancient history is fascinating to me.

I love reading about how hunters handled man eaters a hundred or more years ago without modern gear. Kenneth Anderson, Jim Corbet, J A Patterson, and Teddy Roosevelt stuff is great but I'm running low and they aren't making any more of it.

Battle of Clontarf, when the Irish routed the Vikings from Ireland.
Over 10,000 dead in one day fighting hand to hand,
The leaders of both sides were slain in the battle.
Brian Boru High king of Ireland was in his 70s at the time he led the battle.
Now thats a leader a man can follow.

I watched something and learned that George Washington started the French Indian war by killing a group of French soldiers in the Ohio area (first battle), being demoted in the British army for starting a war without consulting anyone in the homeland, and how he devised the battle plan for another General that ended the war but didn't get any credit for it (last battle). He then left the British Army moved to Virginia and 20 years later became the Colonies first General. French Indian War was 1754-1763 and was a stain on his reputation that always haunted him. I like stuff like that. Wild. Check out Washington on Amazon.

Exploration interests me. 90 Degrees North is a good book: https://www.amazon.com/Ninety-Degrees-North-Quest-Pole/dp/0802117252

South by Ernest Shakleton is a must read: https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/south...cEALw_wcB#idiq=89056&edition=2398419

I also enjoy Arctic exploration and sailing books. I recommend “The Wager”. Full of action, danger, disaster, etc.
