Yeah they look pretty dang stupid. They're supposedly a new OSHA requirement. Can't say for sure, just going from what I've been hearing. Lots of companies are going to these because of the chin strap. They won't come off in a fall. The company I work for is discussing going to them. I hope not, I'm pretty partial to the old bridge hat I've been wearing for 30 years.

The way that strap raps around his neck front and back I wouldn't wear it bet 90% of the guys that get handed one won't wear the strap When I had a traditional chin strap it was nice when out up in the air when leaning over or reaching down, yet it made it in the trash within a day or two. My pony tail keep them from falling off when upside down when I grew my hair out. There is no way I would wear some elastic strap that wrapped around my neck . I would find a different job or get fired if pushed. So different job either way. And you're correct they won't be worn

The way that strap raps around his neck front and back I wouldn't wear it Yup, I see that as a potential chock hazard. Surprised no one pointed that out.

We switched over to the helmets 3 years ago. I got a lot of push back off the start but now that everyone is used to them i don't hear much. They are not an OSHA requirement, but i do see more and more construction companies going to them. Thank you.
