Oh I remember a wagon like that at the farm, was the best " hide-and -seek" spot when playing kick the can at dusk
was used from 1880 till 1930 when they got a IHC Grain truck

East of Fargo. I had to look to see where Dale Township was.

Has a scoop board on the end of the wagon.

Looks "mizzable".

And some of you guys say you were born 100 years late. lol

Runs on Grass, oats and hay but cheaper than today . Don't say whoa in a bog hole !

Going by that fellows face he spent considerable time outside.

Worked with that kind of wagon all through the 1950's until we bought a rubber tired one. The high sides were used to "gather" ear corn, by hand. Take the sides off to haul hay and tobacco. Most folks here in the South used mules instead of horses.

Kids back then probably thought it was fun to ride in that wagon. Kids today, not so much.

That was the starting of global warming ! If you had that picture of history on a bill board they would make you take it down in the name of a whatever cause.
