Baitsetter OP trapper B Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 64 McDonald, pa	I caught a black beaver today, my buddy is going to get it mounted. My question is should we freeze it whole to take to taxidermist? Will they case skin it or cut it up the belly like we normally do?

160user trapper 1 Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 17,890 MN	In some places they are pretty common but I have ever only caught one. I had it tanned. I quit doing mounts for most everything. They are expensive and just tend to collect dust. 10 years later they just don't look great. My suggestion would be to tan it. I have nothing clever to put here.
