As long as the cats that were held over bring similar or better prices than the hold over stock.

Dirt - it may be implied that fur that is in house by last receiving date will be on the next sale. But it doesn’t always happen.

Almost every year, there are items that are held for the second sale and not even lotted for the first sale. The reason being that there are not enough pelts to offer a decent collection. Kit fox, spotted skunk (civet), ringtail (bassarisk) are 3 species that are usually only offered once a year, no matter when the pelts are received. Same with ranch mink - breeders and low grades.

The staff at FH makes decisions based on current conditions and years of experience. They aren’t always right but more times than not, they are.

If you ship to FH, have a bit of confidence in the decisions they make.

If you don’t trust them - DON’T SHIP to them. Bottom line.

If fha is not going to offer all unsold goods on subsequent sales, they should update thier condition of sales. I'm not anti PT sales, but the terms clearly do not allow for unsold goods to be offered between sales.

If goods have been offered at one sale but not sold, where does it say they have to be held for the next sale. If FH gets a fair offer between auctions, why not sell the goods.

I agree with this but if there is a fair offer. Why can that offer be the starting bid at the next auction. Just a thought.

The offer is made in August. The next auction will be in March. The buyer needs the goods now. 8 months from now he will have found them some place else or he no longer needs them.

And he didn’t buy them at the June sale because he didn’t need them in June.

The fur business doesn’t stand still. It is moving 365 days a year. Not just on auction days.

One more time. The owmer of the goods has not agreed that goods can be offered between sales. Fha does not own the goods.

Says they will be reoffered at the next sale. Doesn’t say anything about inbetween sales. The issue of selling between sales is NOT addressed either way.

I stand by original statement. Quote section 11 all you want - I don’t give a

Hard to be reoffered at subsequent sale as required if sold between sales.
