On a different thread, several of you mentioned that your bobcats were marked as held over for next sale. I think I can explain why, especially on the western cats.

In their sale report it says that the collection of western cats offered were all last years goods. Buy backs and left overs.i think FH wanted to clear out this back log without the distraction of fresh goods. And I think it worked.

The held over collection sold very well and is about 100% sold. This should be good news for the western cat guys at the June sale. In my opinion, it will be worth the 3 month wait.

Best not to sell too soon on a rising market.
June sale will tell a lot.

They better hope it works. That would make a lot of people mad if they sent their cats in expecting them to be offered for sale at first sale then they find out the where intentionally held back so the stale pelts could get moved.

I might have to test those waters next year. Most of my western Oregon cats have been grading western whenever I send any in.

(all you western guys) only pertains to one style of cat....the best. the other 90% of the cats harvested in the us do not do well up north.

Nobody in their right mind would sell cats for a 73 dollar auction average.

I dont get what you mean about lynx?
My lynx avg was pretty decent.
Will be shipping some more there.
You likely would have done better with your cats at FHA.
