Lol!! Yep, be like arrowing a deer with their buried in a pumpkin I get that! Lol

Wintertime I see them down here in yard and alfalfa fields. Pretty soon they will disappear up in the timber and cedars. Won't see them from late spring all summer they head for the higher country on my place will hear them may get a glimpse of them, but they become very elusive. They aren't no gimmy though when guys come in and hunt them in the timber though. Most go home empty handed.

Here on the Island theres no shortage of turkeys, probably have 50 running around the place couple times a day, Not a lot of hunting opportunities nearby so they just keep building numbers. Males starting to get friskie, another week or so and the show starts...lol

Some of that Forest Service land in the Black Hills has some dumb and smarter birds the smart one hammer away as you call then they get quieter as the fade away hammer all the way. LOL
