Finally got the new pantry area in the basment finished up. Relocated outlets for the freezers, changed out the light fixture. Added a stub wall and painted it all white. Installed the wire shelving today. That stuff isn't cheap, but its pretty nice.

Yep, just water bath for the time being. Might add a pressure canner this year.

Thats only a part of the jar collection. We are smal timers.

Get the pressure canner. The possibilities are endless. And you have the perfect place now to organize them all. Looks good

looking good
if you put 2x4 down from the floor joist against the cement wall and join them all at the floor you can put another set of shelves over the freezers down a few feet from the ceiling

because pantries are like gun safes , never big enough

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I have a lot of shelves of canned goods as well. Sure made the space way better lighted and more open space with lots of storage.

Canned venison is basically one of the best meals I ever eat. I'd think harvesting a couple with one of thr rifles you make wearing your bucksins could only make it taste better@

Looks like a complete make over You mention that the wire shelving is expensive I know we have a budget that we have to be aware of But my experiences have generally taught me that many times spending a little more to get a better quality item will pay for it self every time Your finished make over looks very nice And it will be a source of helping you keep your pantry clean and organized .
