I know I did better than most with my otter prices this year and a lot of it was because of the wide tail.

If anybody does the facebook thing please post those averages. I'd love to see them.

I should always have Beaverpeeler take mine to the sales, almost everything went above averages. Somehow I sold a coyote for $36.13 didn’t even try and pin the tail out wide.

I got $40 for my castor. People still send castor in ziploc bags that looks like fresh wet cow manure. That pulled down the average a lot.

wws' coyote looked kind of like the one that chases roadrunner around. Couldn't believe it fetched that!

Everything did great for me with the exception of a nice black tail on nutria. Only $3.13 for it. In Idaho I got $13.50 each.

Bp, is that $40 before or after commission? I was at 40 before, I think the castor I sent over looked pretty good.

"Before" on all prices I've mentioned. Your castor looked just like mine, got the same price.

Those wide tails display/ present the extra square inches well........ it's like a marten or mink worth of fur, almost!!

Never did the pleating thing. I enjoy those western sales. Knife work seems appreciated and they seem to pay for it. Not many options east.
