I remember back in the 80's you could get Tony Lama elephant skin cheaper than snake skin boots. Around $100. We wore cowboy boots so much, we would get them resoled.

X3 on those Thorogood boots but I prefer the 8inch height . Used to wear Redwings and id never go back. Now, for dress casual, Ive been looking myself for some decent square-toed western boot so Im following this thread closely.

Visited the Luchessee store in San Antonio and fell in love. Can home to NC and googled Luchessee and my shoe size. Got a hit. A lady was selling her husband's boots and we wore the same size. He had worn the boots once. She sold them to me for $80 and they fit perfectly.

Mine have a pointed toe. I like the rounded "roper" boot toe best, but the price was right and I am enjoying the boots. Mine are goat skin.
