The guy died of the head wound inflicted by the ATF. The search warrant affidavit has been unsealed. Apparently, the guy was suspected of buying firearms and reselling them without an FFL.

That doesn’t seem like a good reason mount a no-knock assault on a person’s home. Why couldn’t they just pick him up at work or pull him over for a traffic stop?

Probably didnt want the nut bar to be able to take hostages or put the public in danger in a hail of gunfire on the streets.

you are aware that the US ATF is has a awful track record with a lot of bodies on their hands.
every once in a while they get the FBI to try and help them with the poop show they started and then even more people die.

Waco , Ruby ridge , Fast and ferios 1 and 2 , not to mention their own weapons destruction depot was the source of a large but unknown number of agency and captured guns going on the street.
.

so they say he was straw purchasing guns or dealing , for who , for what , or was he a guy who was on gun broker too much.
a very very very weak reason to no knock a guy who goes to an office every day in an air port.

Our Gov't doesn't like free citizens, and especially doesn't like gun ownership. Its the nature of gov't to want to disarmed citizens.

how many of you are aware the ATF went after Larry Vickers national treasure , Deltaforce and the guy who trained half the swat trainers

for Illegal Machine Guns importation

why , because before he got cancer he imorted some Machine guns on a license to use them for police and military training demos

he failed to use them as such as they were locked away completely unused while he was undergoing treatment.

because he had not summitted the paperwork that he had given any demos or trainings to LE with them.
they charged him with it.

this had ZERO public safety implication , this was a bullseye on a well know name that everyone needs to fall in line on every admirative hoop or be punished

it is a complete waste of our tax dollars and a disgrace that any US agency would waste time on this while they could be doing real work that impacted public safety.

I just have a problem with a head shot homeowner and one atf agent with a non life threatening injury. If you've ever been in a close quarters firefight you would see the strange outcome. How about they didn't no knock they quiet knocked then took the door down. One of the brain surgeons has an accidental discharge and shoots himself or one of the other brain surgeon and the point man not under fire pops the guy in the head. Sounds a lot like Waco to me. We will never see the camera footage and we will never learn where the brain surgeon was wounded. we will never know if the guy was guilty or not but if he was he invited trouble but not execution by those folks.

Something smells about the ATF statements.

Released Searh Warrant Affidavit Shows Details

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The affidavit detailing the ATF case against the Little Rock airport executive who was shot and killed by federal agents serving a search warrant at his home was released Thursday.

In the heavily redacted warrant affidavit, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives claims that Bryan Malinowski purchased numerous firearms that he resold without a firearm dealer’s license.

According to the warrant, Malinowski purchased more than 150 guns between May 2021 and Feb. 27, 2024, which he then resold.

The ATF claims in the affidavit that around six of the guns Malinowski sold were found after being connected to a crime.

Undercover federal agents purchased another three from Malinowski at central Arkansas gun shows, the affidavit stated.

According to the affidavit, Malinowski would purchase guns through legal means, checking off a box on the purchase form that he was buying the gun for himself. He would then resell the just-purchased guns in as little as 24 hours through gun shows where he maintained a table or through private sales.

In one case, he was reported to have told an undercover buyer that all purchases were cash only.

All the guns purchased by Malinowski were pistols, including 24 Model 45s by Glock and AR-style pistols, the affidavit stated.

Before the Tuesday search warrant, the affidavit stated that ATF agents had planted a tracking device on Malinowski’s SUV. At times, he would drive erratically while agents were trailing him, the affidavit said.

The affidavit listed several cell phones and electronic devices agents believed would have proof of transactions. It also listed bank records and any other records, including photos and “firearms, firearm parts and accessories, ammunition.”

The search was to be conducted between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. on March 20, and the officer was expected to give Malinowski an inventory of everything seized, according to the search warrant.

Malinowski was shot and killed during an exchange of gunfire with ATF agents Tuesday morning as they attempted to serve the search warrant.

ATF officials said the agents were serving a search warrant at Malinowski’s west Little Rock home around 6 a.m. when the fatal shootout took place. Federal officials said that Malinowski shot first from inside the home, at which point agents returned fire, hitting Malinowski multiple times.

Agents with the Arkansas State Police have been investigating the shooting. An ASP spokesperson said on Thursday that the agency’s investigation into this incident is ongoing.

That's less than five guns a month.

According to the affidavit, Malinowski would purchase guns through legal means

Which means they were registered in his name because, according to the ATF, they were all pistols.

What exactly is an Armalite Rifle style pistol?

Ample opportunity to pull him over and detain him thereby avoiding the supposed need to mount a full-scale assault on his home in a quiet, residential neighborhood.
